Popaganda Obese Alien Mini Figure by Ron English x MINDstyle x Toy Tokyo (SDCC Exclusive)

A second exclusive from Ron English’s Popaganda mini series by MINDstyle will be released at SDCC this year. Toy Tokyo will have the a special cosmic looking colorway of the Obese Alien at their booth (#5237). Obese Alien is the chase from the mini series, so these will be definitely go fast. Limited to 200 pieces and will run you $20 each.

MINDstyle’s SDCC Popaganda Mouse Mask Murphy by Ron English

As a cool precursor to their Popaganda Circus Sideshow minis from painter Ron English, MINDstyle will release an SDCC exclusive version of the Popaganda Mouse Mask Murphy figure featuring a mono paint scheme with gold accents. Sharp. The exclusive figure will be limited to 200 pieces and will be available for $20 @ Toy Tokyo’s booth (#5237). The full Popaganda Circus Sideshow mini series will be released in late August featuring Ron English’s unique brand of socially relevant art.

Ron English – ZacPac Exclusive GRIN

Tokyo toy shop ZacPac is taking pre-orders for their exclusive GRIN figure created by Ron English and produced by Made by Monsters for 9975 yen ($102). Unless we’re getting senile (always a possibility), this is the third edition so far after the standard release and the COD one. Limited to 200 pieces, the ZacPAC GRIN rocks an orange shirt and will drop at the end of May ‘09. The toy’s release date has yet to be determined, but check Gargework Industries for more info as it becomes available.

Preview: Ron English - “Lazarus Rising” @ Elms Lester

After hanging with Ron English at Dr. Sketchy’s, he invited AM over to his Jersey City studio to check out his upcoming solo show at Elms Lester. The show entitled “Lazarus Rising” is Ron’s first ever UK solo and is his second with Elms Lester. The show opens to the general public May 8th and will run through June 6th. If you’re in London during that time, you should definitely check this one out.
