New Pearl Jam Posters for Sale...By Brad Klausen Manchester and Toronto

All new posters will be up for sale Tuesday August 25th at 1 PM PST...

Buy them at Artillery Design

The Manchester poster is 18"x24" and 5 colors (the water is a metallic blend).
And for those who have asked Brad, the concept does have to deal with the black
swan theory, or rather the fabricated appearance of the black swan theory.
They tell us what is happening with the world economies is a black swan,
something thought to be impossible to exist or to ever come to pass, something
no one could have anticipated... yet it's not too hard to see that when that
swan goes in the water, it was never black to begin with...

" I am afraid the ordinary citizen will not like to be told that the banks can,
and do, create money... And they who control the credit of the nation direct
the policy of Governments and hold in the hollow of their hands the destiny
of the people."
- Reginald McKenna, 1924 (Chancellor of the Exchequer of the Bank of England
from 1915-1916)

The Toronto poster is 24" x 14.5" and is 7 colors.

Both posters will be $60 plus shipping.

Brad will be attending Flatstock on Sept. 5th - 7th in Seattle at the annual
Bumbershoot music festival as well as The Rock Poster Society show on
October 10th in San Francisco. He will be selling half of these posters on his
site on Tuesday August 22nd at 1 PM PST, and the other half he will be
selling at these two events.

"Cloak and Veil"
The folks over at The Faded Clothing Line Co. asked Brad if he wanted to join
their roster of artists for some of their upcoming projects and he said "sure".
The first thing they wanted to do was make an art print and a puzzle out of
the grim reaper off of the 2006 Pearl Jam DC poster. There will be 3 versions:
a puzzle, an art print on paper, and an art print on metal. He will be selling
copies of the two art prints at Flatstock and all 3 versions will be for sale
at www.thefadedline.com. When I know the date for that I will let you all
know too. Brad made some slight alterations to the image...

Yet to be named Hawaii art print
He should also have these at flatstock as well, he may make a few changes
here and there, but you get the idea...

And to think Ed rejected this poster over the other one for his Hawaii show. Rock stars need to stick to making music and let the artist do their thing.

"No Fin No Future" Benefit Art Print by Brad Klausen on sale details

No Fin No Future
Art Print for sale on Wednesday July 29th at 1:00 PM PST ...

From Brad

I was asked by the folks over at Pangeaseed.com to create an art print to
help raise awareness about shark finning in Japan. If you are unaware of
what shark finning is, it is the extremely brutal act of cutting off the fins
of a shark and then throwing the still alive finless shark back into the
ocean, bleeding and unable to swim as it slowly dies. They use the shark
fins to make shark fin soup... the fin has no taste but is used to add
texture to the soup. Shark fin soup is one of those things wealthy humans
eat and serve at their parties and restaurants to show everyone how
important and wealthy they are. And it's working, we are all quite
impressed that people are willing to inhumanely butcher other living
creatures alive to appease their own narcissistic egos. Another proud
moment in human history.

Within the last few decades, the shark populations are being decimated to
the point of extinction due to shark finning. Sharks have existed on the
planet for over 400 million years and survived the 5 mass extinctions on
the planet... so in the course of the last 20 years, we humans are doing
something mother nature and the universe couldn't do in 400 million years.

Some people think sharks should be wiped out and believe in the biggest
fallacy there is about sharks: that they are aggressive maneaters who
prey on human beings. Sharks have killed people, that is true.. however
sharks kill an average of 5 people a year, whereas tigers and elephants
kill 100 people a year. Yet would anyone justify chopping off the legs
of tigers and elephants to the point of extinction because they are a
menace to humanity...? Car accidents kill around 35,000 people a year.
Sharks are no threat no us, at all. In fact it's quite the opposite. We
need sharks to maintain the stability of the food chain in the oceans.
They feed on all the species that eat plankton. Plankton converts carbon
dioxide into the oxygen we breathe. If there are no sharks, the species
that feed on plankton will devour far more of the plankton which
we need for the air we breathe.

The folks over at Pangea Seed in Japan, where shark finning is quite
rampant, were inspired to do something and help raise awareness after
viewing the beautifully shot documentary "Sharkwater" by Rob Stewart.
It's available via netflix or your local video store and you can view the
trailer and find more information here:

http://www.sharkwater.com/

When I was asked to do a print for this event, I wanted to convey the
idea of harmony and balance. It made me think about the ancient chinese
yin yang symbol. These two quotes on the yin yang sum up what I was
hoping to convey:

" Yin and Yang is used to describe how seemingly disjunct or opposing
forces are are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world."

" Yinyang as a process of harmonization ensuring a constant dynamic
balance of all things."

The poster is 18"x24" and 8 colors (the shark blend is metallic and has
a gloss varnish overlay). They are signed and numbered out of 125 but
only 60 will be up for sale on my site. The type on the poster says
"No Fin" in the upper left and "No Future" in the bottom right. The print
will be $40 and all proceeds from the sale will be going to Pangea Seed
to help save sharks. To find out more information about Pangea Seed
and read a short interview they did with me go to:

If you haven't heard Big Business and you like heavy music then you need to go
to itunes or myspace or the music store immediately! They used to be just a
bass and drum duo but now have a guitar player, hence the three guys in the
poster... drums (mallets), guitar (axe) and one giant pummeling bass
(sledge hammer).

The poster is 17" x 24", 6 colors (the gold is metallic) and they are signed and
numbered out of 182 however only 100 are up for sale.
They are $25 plus shipping.

Eddie Vedder 2009 Tour Poster

Keeping in line with the last two legs of Ed's solo tour posters, here's another
shot of Ed, this time the photograph used was taken by Liam Finn.

The poster is 16"x24", 2 colors and signed and numbered.
They will be $50 plus shipping.

Eddie Vedder 2009 Tour Poster - EVel Rocket

In case it's not obvious yet, Ed is a fan of Evel Knievel. Will our hero make it
across the canyon...? Only time will tell...

The poster is 18"x24",5 colors (the gold is metallic, unlike the show copies) and
signed and numbered. They will be $60 plus shipping.

All three of the posters will be for sale Tuesday June 23rd at 1:30 PM PST. at www.artillerydesign.com
More Mogwai and Flight of the Conchords
After packing up the last batch of orders, turns out Brad still has some of these
posters available. So if you missed out on either the Mogwai or both of the
color ways for the Flight of the Conchords, there will be more available as well.

There are still a lot more posters to work on along with processing and packing
new orders, so please allow at least 2 to 3 weeks for delivery on these orders...
here's what's in the works... 2 Pearl Jam posters, Flight to Mars, "No Fin No
Future" charity art print, Day 16 Art Print, Spinal Tap movie poster for the Alamo
Theater and some more gig posters for a few more bands to be announced later...

People on the West Coast will be lucky this fall. Pearl Jam is only touring the west coast in the fall. So hopefully Brad will be doing some of those posters as well.
