The Flaming Lips @ The Montalban Theatre

Really cool poster design for a show by the Flaming Lips in Hollywood.  Design credits unknown, if anyone knows please comment!

Jon Van Hamersveld

Some uber retro and hyper-psychadelic posters and flyers designed by the infamous Jon Van Hamersveld.  This is another must-know designer who really set the scene for this unique acid-trip color-blast style.

HARD Haunted Mansion 2009

I'll admit that most rave flyers are trash. And especially the flyers for the HUGE, super-popular, and always-packed ones can get away with so-so stuff because the event and the headliners are an automatic sell out. But this year's flyer for Hard Haunted Mansion is pretty minimal for Halloween rave status. One can suppose that Deadmau5, Miodskeletor, Steve Aoki and Justice make this eye-catching enough.

Dance Right

Flyer for an event at La Cita in downtown Los Angeles.

Darren Grealish

I saw Darren Grealish's trippy posters a few weeks ago at the Downtown LA Art Walk, and needless to say, his work speaks for itself. Some are 70s or disco inspired, others just dirty and gritty, but all of his flyers share his unique touch and lively typography.

Freak City

Reminiscent of 90's Saturday morning cartoons, but definitely in a cool way.

Monster Massive 2009

Another masterpiece by Shingo Shimizu. He's done great work with the past Monster Massive mask-flyers, and he hasn't let us down with this one. The details of the mask are incredible, and he adds a little something different with the glow-in-the-dark skull. Check out his creative process here.
